Always touch out

We have over 100 links to alwaystouchout.com but the website is dead. What should we do now? Difficultly north (talk) Time, department skies 20:04, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

There is also Template:Alwaystouchout.
Update the template and make a request for the others at Wikipedia:Link rot/URL change requests (WP:URLREQ). If it has been archived then the bot can update the links to point to the archived copy. If it hasn't then I think the bot can mark them as a permanent dead link and we'll have to find the information elsewhere. There is a way to get a list of which pages use a source but I can't remember what it is. Thryduulf (talk) 20:39, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

It's not a site I used frequently, but it strikes me that it's actually user-generated content - albeit quite well done - and as such shouldn't be used as a reference. Its use as a reference should also be called into question where it is being used to indicate the status of a project given that it hasn't been updated now for over two years. 10mmsocket (talk) 07:15, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

My basic view of Always Touch Out is that it was good for its time, providing news on London transport that was hard to get hold of elsewhere. However, nowadays the official Transport for London channels, for example, are providing all the information that ATO did, and the usual corpus of books such as Day / Reed and Wolmar can generally pick up the slack from earlier than about 2010. In short, I would mark the source as deprecated and work towards replacing it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:20, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

Proposed Merger of Infobox London station with Infobox station

I just stumbled across this with no notifications to WikiProjects. Please see Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2025_October_27#Template:Infobox London station. Difficultly north (talk) Time, department skies 21:15, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

Annual Usage Data for 2024

A new template for tube annual usage data for 2024 has been created:{{Tubeexits2024}}. The data for {{Tubeexits list}} and {{Tubeexits list rank}} has been updated for the same year. All tube station articles should now show the entry and exit data for 2020 to 2024 and List of London Underground stations shows the latest data. DavidCane (talk) 15:35, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

Article in need of attention/TLC - London underground emergency response unit

(Also posted to UK-trains project)

I happened upon London underground emergency response unit. It needs some work but it has potential, either standalone or merged into the main TfL article. It certainly needs renaming as sources seem to indicate it's a TfL-wide not just Underground resource, and the article title's case is wrong. Anyone care to have a crack at it? Thanks. 10mmsocket (talk) 21:53, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Discussion about WikiProject banner templates

For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:

There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say "priority" instead of "importance". This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners. Docklands Light Railway rolling stock on Wikidata

I've raised a question at d:Wikidata talk:WikiProject Railways#Docklands Light Railway rolling stock about how best to structure the data about the different models of train used on the system. Editors, especially those familiar with Wikidata, are invited to comment there. Thryduulf (talk) 02:55, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

Requested move at Northumberland Park Metro station

There is a requested move discussion at Talk:Northumberland Park Metro station#Requested move 30 January 2026 that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject. This is especially because it does also involve Northumberland Park railway station. Difficultly north (talk) Time, department skies 15:01, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
