Discussion about WikiProject banner templates

For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:

There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say "priority" instead of "importance". This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners. WP:ELOFFICIAL?

Is there some written guidance/essay/closed rfc/etc on having a WP:ELOFFICIAL in Pornography-related bios, like ? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:29, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Can you be more specific? There's no policy against it but the appropriateness would be on a case by case basis. Looking at the specific link, blogs with information would generally be preferred over image galleries. Drew McNish (talk) 10:04, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
I looked at a few similar articles, and they lacked an ELOFFICIAL, so I wondered if there is some chapter and verse specifically against it for porn-actors. My basic view is that an ELOFFICIAL is good to have, if there is one.
On the specific Savannah Bond article (which I noticed at User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#Pornographic_hooks_at_DYK), the Instagram is practical since it has the blue checkmark, but there might be better options, I haven't really checked. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:16, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
No, all subjects are treated the same. I still prefer informational sources over galleries but in some cases they are justified. Instagram is fairly safe but once we include image galleries we'll have to include nsfw tags for some of them. Drew McNish (talk) 12:23, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
I didn't know we had those. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:31, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Not official tags but an note indicating it's nsfw. Drew McNish (talk) 15:08, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
