It's a Wonderful Life
The long-time entry for the 1940s radio reenactments of the film has been removed from the article because of lack of references. Sigh. Here is the text: "The film was twice adapted for radio in 1947, first on Lux Radio Theater (March 10) and then on the Screen Guild Theater (December 29), then again on the Screen Guild Theater broadcast of March 15, 1951. James Stewart and Donna Reed reprised their roles for all three radio productions. Stewart also starred in a May 8, 1949, radio adaptation presented on the Screen Directors Playhouse." Would be nice to save this one, I'd think if the entry was a hoax someone would have caught it. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:52, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Randy Kryn, Here are some applicable sources if you would like to restore the material with citations added:
- Lux Radio Theater March 10, 1947
- Screen Guild Players December 29, 1947
- Screen Guild Theater March 15, 1951 (The clipping does not name the program, but a check of the radio schedule on the same page shows Screen Guild on the station mentioned in the clipping.)
- Another March 15, 1951 listing This one specifies Screen Guild Players, but reproduction is poor.
- Others that could be added:
- Screen Guild Theatre December 29, 1949
- Stars in the Air December 13, 1951 The broadcast is mentioned in the second paragraph of the story.
- I haven't found the 1949 Screen Directors Playhouse episode, but NBC Theater had Stewart starring and Capra as "guest director" on May 8, 1949 Eddie Blick (talk) 03:07, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you Teblick, excellent work and a nice save of a long-term entry at the film's page. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:16, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Doniago, check out the references provided above. Would you like to add some of those to the entry you deleted, thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:18, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

Done, thanks again Teblick! Randy Kryn (talk) 14:38, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Randy Kryn, You're welcome! Those old newspapers at Newspapers.com contain a wealth of information about old radio and television programs and people. They are valuable resources. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:37, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
