Does anyone think Forgotten Chicago is salvageable as an article? I tried looking for sources, but I'm not finding anything other than some social media sites, which aren't even close enough to meet WP:ORGDEPTH. Perhaps there's a way to redirect this to some other article? Otherwise, it appears to be in pretty much the same condition as when it was created back in 2008. It actually did have some citations back then, but, once again, nothing that would meet ORGDDEPTH. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:10, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

Notice of Conflict of Interest: I am the Director of Marketing for Red Clay Dance Company. In compliance with Wikipedia's COI policy, I am not editing articles directly but am reaching out to the WikiProject Chicago community to suggest that the company meets the criteria for a standalone article under WP:NORG and WP:ARTIST.

Red Clay Dance Company is a 17-year-old Afro-contemporary "Artivist" organization based in Chicago that has recently reached significant institutional milestones. I believe there is currently a gap in the Chicago dance archives regarding this company.

Key Notability Indicators for Editors: Major Press: Recently peer-grouped with the Joffrey Ballet and Martha Graham Dance Company by the Chicago Tribune (Jan 2026). Significant Performance History: A resident company of the Harris Theater for Music and Dance; featured at TEDxChicago; performed at Jacob’s Pillow (2025).

Hello everyone. I joined this project recently and I hope to assist with some project tasks over time. As part of this, like for other projects I belong to, I like to generate useful reports that help participants zero in on work that needs doing.

In case you haven't found out already, the Wikipedia community has decided to remove or replace Archive.today (and related) archive links used in citations within the Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:archive.today guidance for details. To help with this endeavor, I have created two project reports that show where these links are within our project:

• Wikipedia:WikiProject Chicago/CiteMaint (find entries with "CS1 maint: deprecated archival service" in the last column)
