Eid al-Fitr DYK Set

There is a discussion happening on a WP:DYK set themed around Eid this March, Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Should we do an Eid al-Fitr set this March. I figured that, since it is related to this WikiProject, I would notify this WikiProject of it. Much work needs to be done for it, so help is welcome. If you are a new user who is interested but unsure where to start, read WP:DYKRULES and you can leave a message on my talkpage (I can help you). Should the words "Islamic" and "Muslim" be used to describe ISIS?

This request for comment needs some from editors knowledgeable about Islam.

Talk:2025 Bondi Beach shooting § Should the word "Islamic" be used to describe this ISIS-linked attack?

See also, this related discussion: Talk:2025 Bondi Beach shooting § How should the page describe Sajid's religion?

This is the current first paragraph:

On 14 December 2025, an antisemitic Islamic terrorist attack occurred at the Archer Park area of Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, during a celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah attended by around 1,000 people. Beginning at 6:42 pm, two Muslim[1] gunmen, allegedly Sajid Akram and his son Naveed Akram, killed a total of 15 people including 11 men, 3 women and a 10-year-old girl. Sajid was shot dead by police; his son Naveed was treated for wounds at a local hospital and survived. The Islamic State (IS) later claimed credit for the attack, praised the Muslim shooters by calling them 'brave lions' and urged other Muslims living in australia to attack Jewish and Christian Kafirs as a part of Islamic Jihad.
