Need Help

Hey I feel like I am one of the only few Chin Editors here. "Chin editor" dang an um sual ah cun message rak ka kuat ve uh. I needed help editing the Zo Reunification Organization Page. Its one of the most important organisations in both Chin State as well as Mizoram but I am suprised that there was no article for it. Its also one of the only civil organisation that is the most vocal against the junta in Chin State. I recently created it, and so far its a stub. Feel free to pitch in to expand the article.

Possible topics for further elaboation:

Most significant would be them intervening in brokering a peace accord and alliance between Chin National Army, Zomi Revolutionary Army, and the Chin Brotherhood Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 02:41, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

The Developing Countries WikiContest Gold Belt Buckle
The Developing Countries WikiContest Gold Belt Buckle

WikiProject Myanmar, the Developing Countries WikiContest will be returning for a second year, and sign-ups are now open! The contest will run from 1 July to 30 September, and the objective remains the same: improve as many articles relating to developing countries as you can to help fight systemic bias on Wikipedia.

In other news, we have a new face on the coordinator team this year: last year's sixth-place finisher, Arconning (talk · contribs)! The coordinators would like to extend a sincere thanks to Ixtal (talk · contribs), who is leaving the team, without whom the contest would not exist. After feedback from contestants last year, the scoring rules are undergoing some modifications; the new rules and a summary of the changes made will be posted to the contest talk page shortly.

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page, use the {{@DCWC coordinators}} template, or contact one of the coordinators: Arconning (talk · contribs), sawyer777 (talk · contribs), or TechnoSquirrel69 (talk · contribs). Guidance Needed: Compliance with Notability for Burmese Academic Sources

Hello everyone in WikiProject Myanmar, I am an editor focusing on expanding content related to Myanmar literature and ensuring its accurate representation on the English Wikipedia. I recently had several drafts on Burmese poetic forms (e.g., Linga) swiftly deleted or declined due to concerns regarding Notability and Unacceptable Use of AI (G15/uw ai). I believe the core challenge is the Source Verification Process when dealing with non-English academic texts. I am reaching out to this Project for specific guidance on how to overcome this Systemic Bias and ensure my future contributions meet the highest standards.

Burmese Sources & Verifiability: Could you advise on the best practice for citing high-quality, reliable Burmese-language academic books or journals (e.g., from notable universities or established scholars)? Are there any standard English translations or standard biographical data points that we must include to demonstrate the source's authority to non-Burmese speaking reviewers? Addressing AI/OR Concerns: When using AI tools (such as translation tools) to help draft an article based on a solid Burmese source, what are the strict steps we must follow to avoid the Original Research and Unacceptable AI Use deletion tags? I want to ensure that no editor can mistakenly view my work as an AI-generated synthesis. Project Resources: Does this WikiProject maintain a list of Accepted or Recommended Reliable Sources (especially major reference texts on Myanmar History or Literature) that editors should prioritize when writing new articles? My goal is to improve the quality of coverage on our nation’s literary heritage, and I am committed to following all Wikipedia policies. Any advice or mentorship from experienced members of this project would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

The best way to not have it declined due to LLM use concerns is to not use LLMs. For instance, you should not need to use AI to generate this guidance needed help request. If you have reliable sources you can cite them and merely report on what is already written- they can be in Burmese and I will review them. If you cite physical books I can assume good faith but for a new account that will make accepting new articles harder. I would recommend submitting drafts with available online sources to build your reputation and to demonstrate that you will not rely on LLMs first.
