YouTube Gaming was turned into a gaming entertainment category to attract special interest in its online video service, where all game-related videos on YouTube were stored and had the ability to display live streams or uploaded videos and share it.[2][3]
In September 2018, Google announced the shut down of the app on May 30, 2019, and transferred all of its popularity to the main application.[4]
