Pleurophrys es un género de foraminífero bentónico de la subfamilia Allogromiinae, de la familia Allogromiidae, del suborden Allogromiina[1] y del orden Allogromiida.[2] Su especie tipo es Pleurophrys sphaerica. Su rango cronoestratigráfico abarca el Holoceno.
