In der Mathematik wird eine Gruppe als kohärente Gruppe bezeichnet, wenn jede endlich erzeugte Untergruppe endlich präsentiert ist. Beispiele sind virtuell polyzyklische Gruppen, freie Gruppen, Flächengruppen und Fundamentalgruppen von 3-Mannigfaltigkeiten.
