Sporting Gijón, Cádiz CF and Rayo Vallecano were promoted to Primera División. Beginning this season, there is no relegation playoff. Pontevedra CF, Levante UD, CD San Andrés and Barcelona Atlètic were relegated to the new Segunda División B.^{[citation needed]}
