The Grammy Award for Best New Artist was originally awarded to Milli Vanilli, but the award was revoked by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences on November 19, 1990[3][4][5] after the admission by band members Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus that they did not sing on their album, Girl You Know It's True: the award was declared vacant.[6] As of 2026, this is the only occasion that a Grammy award has been revoked.
