The 1999 Southland Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 4–6 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana.[1]

UTSA defeated Texas State in the championship game, 71–63, to win their first Southland men's basketball tournament.

The Roadrunners received a bid to the 1999 NCAA Tournament as the No. 16 seed in the West region.
