The 2020 Timiș County local elections were held on 27 September.[2] A total of 9,010 candidates ran for various local positions, such as local councilors, mayors, county councilors and the President of the County Council.[3]
The elections resulted in the Social Democratic Party losing control of the county council in favor of the National Liberal Party. Considerable gains were also achieved by USR-PLUS Alliance.
