The Redhawks finished the season 6–23, 6–14 in WAC play, to finish in a tie for eighth place.[1] They failed to qualify for the WAC tournament, as only the top eight teams qualified.[2]

Previous season

The Redhawks finished the 2022–23 season 6–24, 5–13 in WAC play, to finish in 11th place.[3] They upset UT Arlington in the first round of the WAC tournament[4] before falling to Grand Canyon in the quarterfinals.[5]

On March 20, 2023, the school announced that head coach Suzy Barcomb would not be returning as their head coach, ending her seven-year run with the team.[6] Almost a month later, on April 19, Portland assistant coach Skyler Young was hired as the Redhawks' new head coach.[7]
