The 2nd district of Budapest (hu ⓘ) is a district of Budapest, Hungary. It has an area of 36.34 km2 and is situated to the south of the 3rd district and to the north of the 1st district and the 12th district.

Politics
The current mayor of the 2nd district is Gergely Őrsi (independent). Őrsi was arrested on 4 June 2026 and accused of taking bribes as part of the Óbuda scandal.[3]
The District Assembly, elected at the 2019 local government elections, is made up of 21 members (1 Mayor, 14 Individual constituencies MEPs and 6 Compensation List MEPs) divided into this political parties and alliances:[4]
