List of AIGA medalists

Since 1920,[1] the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) has awarded medals "to individuals in recognition of their exceptional achievements, services or other contributions to the field of graphic design and visual communication."[2] Below is a list of AIGA medalists.

Nine medals were awarded in the 1920s, seven in the 1930s, eight in the 1940s, twelve in the 1950s, ten in the 1960s, 13 in the 1970s, 13 in the 1980s, and 33 in the 1990s. Since 2000, a larger number of medals have awarded; 45 were awarded from 2000 to 2009.
