The author of the atlas himself did not mention that this was Sultan Abu al-Abbas Ahmad, but there is evidence of this, which is the similarity between the emblem carried by the man and the Tunisian flag , which makes it possible that this man is the same Sultan of Tunisia, and if we go to the year 1375, the Sultan would be Abu al-Abbas Ahmad, this Sultan was famous among the Europeans for his raids on them.

Abu al-Abbas Ahmad II (Arabic: أبو العباس أحمدر) (reigned 1370–1394) was a Hafsid Caliph of Ifriqiya. He restored the Hafsid kingdom to full power after a period of disarray which followed the invasion of Ifriqiya led by Abu Inan Faris of the Marinids. He reigned during the Barbary Crusade of 1390, a brief military expedition by French and Genoese crusaders.
