The Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX, Serbian: Београдска берза, romanized: Beogradska berza) is a stock exchange based in Belgrade, Serbia.[3] The Stock exchange was founded in 1894 in the Kingdom of Serbia, after the King proclaimed the Stock exchange law of 1886. Currently, the Belgrade Stock Exchange is an observer member of Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) and an associate member of Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE).[4]

History

On 22 February 2016, the Belgrade Stock Exchange decided to join SEE Link, and EBRD-sponsored regional network for trading securities.[5]

The Belgrade Stock Exchange is a member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges.

International Connectivity

Passive exposure for international investors to the BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange is possible through an exchange-traded fund - Expat Serbia BELEX15 UCITS ETF - listed in Frankfurt on Xetra (ticker ESNB, ISIN BGSRBBE05183) and traded in euro. The fund acts as a conduit for capital flows between the international financial markets and the Serbian capital market.
