Byers is an unincorporated town, a post office, and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Byers post office has the ZIP Code 80103.[5] At the United States Census 2020, the population of the Byers CDP was 1,322.[4]

History
The Byers Post Office has been in operation since 1873. Byers comprises two distinct districts, being the bustling Downtown Byers, and the Historic Uptown Byers.[6] The community took the name of William Byers, the first Colorado newspaper editor.[7]
Geography
The Byers CDP has an area of 7,663 acres (31.013 km2), including 335 acres (1.356 km2) of water.[3]

2020 census
As of the 2020 census, Byers had a population of 1,322. The median age was 38.9 years. 23.9% of residents were under the age of 18 and 16.5% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 105.0 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 108.7 males age 18 and over.[10][11]
0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas.[12]
There were 498 households in Byers, of which 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 54.8% were married-couple households, 23.5% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 16.1% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.[10]
