This category includes the native flora of Papuasia which are assessed as Near threatened.
"Papuasia" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions which considers it a region of tropical Asia. The geographic region is defined by the political boundaries of its constituents, which in this case are islands:
- The Bismarck Archipelago (code BIS)
- New Guinea (code NWG), including
- the region of Western New Guinea or Irian Jaya (code NWG-IJ), which includes the Aru Islands
- the country of Papua New Guinea (code NWG-PN)
- The Solomon Islands (code SOL), including
- the North Solomons (code SOL-NO), the Autonomous Region of Bougainville of Papua New Guinea
- the South Solomons (code SOL-SO)
