The category covers nationalism based more on South Korea's state-identity than overall Korean [ethnic] nationalism.
- South Korean conservatives in the 21st century are more like "South Korean nationalism" (based on anti-North Korean sentiment) than "Korean nationalism".
- Pan-Korean nationalists who advocate minjok (민족) among South Koreans are not included in that category.
