White River Fauna, prehistoric animals of the White River Badlands, located in the northern United States. The fossilized animals date from the Eocene, Oligocene, and Miocene epochs of the Cenozoic Era. They are found in the Chadron Formation, Brule Formation, and/or the Arikaree Formation of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming.
