- The Yungas — a montane tropical rain forest ecoregion of the eastern Tropical Andes in South America, extending from Peru through Bolivia to northeastern Argentina. The tropical Bolivian Yungas and Peruvian Yungas are part of the Amazon rainforest, while the subtropical Southern Andean Yungas are in the upper Río de la Plata Basin.
