From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Côte d'Or National Sports Complex is a multi-purpose sports facility located at Saint Pierre, Mauritius. The complex was completed in 2019 and served as the primary venue for the 2019 Indian Ocean Island Games, hosted by Mauritius.[1]

It was constructed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation and financed through a combination of three RMB 50 million interest-free loans from the Chinese government, signed between 2012 and 2015, alongside a RMB 200 million grant, bringing the total Chinese contribution to RMB 350 million (approximately US$55 million). A formal exchange of notes between the governments of Mauritius and China was signed on 8 November 2017.[2]
