David Heath (squash player)

By 1991, Heath, from Oban, had represented Scotland at international level^[3] and in 1992 was attending the University of Glasgow.^[4]

He represented Scotland at the 1995 European Squash Team Championships in Amsterdam in April^[5] and in November 1995 he won the West Highland Open at Oban.^[6]

Heath played out of the David Lloyd Centre^[7] and in June 1996, gave up his job as a French teacher and became a full-time professional player^[1] Another European Championships ensued at the 1997 European Squash Team Championships in Odense^[8]

He gained selection for the 1998 Scottish team^[9][10] at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.^[11] Heath competed in three events^[12] including the men's doubles with his younger brother Martin Heath.^[13][14]

In 2000, he started playing out of the Edinburgh Sports Club.^[15]
