Deodat or Déodat is a masculine given name. Deriving from Latin deo datus (IPA: [ˈdɛoː ˈdatʊs]), it means "given by God", in similar usage to Dieudonné, Matthew, Theodore, Jonathan, and Nathaniel.
The name is also found among South Asian communities and their diaspora.
