advances.in/psychology's first editorial was published in 2022[9], with the first empirical articles being published the year after. The journal's publisher is Advances.in LTD, registered as a private limited company in England and Wales.
The journal has published four special issues, including on network psychometrics, misinformation, acculturation, and political psychology.
By 2026, more than 500 reviewers had signed up to the journal's review system.
