Collie O'Neill is an Irish UEFA Pro Licenced football coach best known for his work in the League of Ireland and his role as Head Coach UCD AFC. His career spans two decades, during which he managed and coached at several clubs, including Dublin City, Dundalk, Shelbourne, UCD, Bray Wanderers and Shamrock Rovers Women.

Early Career
O'Neill began his coaching journey in 2005 with Dublin City FC, where he was registered as both a player and first-team coach. That year, Dublin City earned promotion to the Premier Division by defeating Shamrock Rovers in the playoffs. Only for the club to fold midway through the 2006 season[1].
Dundalk FC
Following Dublin City's mid-season collapse in 2006, O'Neill joined Dundalk FC under manager John Gill. Dundalk won the promotion playoff against Waterford, but the FAI denied promotion due to restructuring based on historical standings[2].
Shelbourne FC
In 2007, O'Neill became assistant manager at Shelbourne FC under Dermot Keely. With the club relegated for financial reasons, O'Neill helped assemble a squad in just two weeks. When Keely resigned, O'Neill took over as manager for three months, remaining unbeaten in eight games—the only Shelbourne manager to do so.
UCD
O'Neill joined UCD in 2011 as assistant to Martin Russell. Martin move on in 2014 and Aaron Callaghan became manage for that season with Collie remaining on as assistant manager. After relegation in 2014, he became manager in 2015. That year, UCD competed in the UEFA Europa League via the Fair Play rule, defeating FC Dudelange defying widespread criticism and proving critics wrong before losing to Slovan Bratislava. In 2018, O'Neill guided UCD to the First Division title, developing future stars like Liam Scales, Georgie Kelly, Gary O'Neill and Greg Sloggett. He left UCD in 2019.
Later Career
O'Neill had short coaching spells at Cabinteely and Bray Wanderers before taking charge of Shamrock Rovers Women in 2023. In their debut season[3], Rovers finished third in the Women's Premier Division. O'Neill resigned in July 2025 to spend more time with his family.
