Etymology

The term henachoko means “weakling” or “unskilled person” in Japanese. It referred to Hirotas gimmick as a blunderer who would, e.g., knock herself over by hitting her opponent with a running body press or get hurt when a fan accidentally threw a paper confetti streamer at her head.

Title history

Hirota created and defended the title at the Korakuen Hall on April 23, 2000 against Mayumi Ozaki while dressed up as Aja Kong. Ozaki won the title but stated from the beginning of the match that she was not even interested in winning the cheap-looking cardboard belt. From then on it became a running gag that almost nobody except Hirota treasured the title. In case others won it, they often threw it away, gave it to or forced it on somebody else, or simply returned it to Hirota who would then lose it again to another wrestler. The last person to win the title from Hirota was Carlos Amano. On August 15, 2004, she defeated her at the Korakuen Hall but eventually destroyed the title belt. Hirota then retrieved the damaged belt, thus becoming the last and final champion. All in all there had been sixty two champions with Hirota holding the belt twenty four times.
