Karaa is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by Vejay Avthar. The film stars Master Mahendran, Jeeva Thangavel, Mottai Rajendran, Sahiba Bhasin, Kimaya, and Aira Agarrwal. The film was promoted as a crocodile-based survival thriller and was released on 15 May 2026.
Plot
A ruthless criminal operates a deadly crocodile farm where victims are murdered and fed to crocodiles, leaving behind no evidence. On the same night, a red bag containing ₹1.15 crore becomes the center of a dangerous chain of events in Chennai.
A single father arrives in the city with his mute 13-year-old daughter for a medical procedure. When the girl accidentally enters the wrong vehicle, she becomes connected to the missing money and the people pursuing it.
Meanwhile, Love Kumar, a self-proclaimed "Love Guru" struggling with heartbreak, crosses paths with Dona D'Souza, a young woman attempting to recover money lost before her sister's wedding. After discovering the mysterious red bag and the missing child, they become targets of a criminal gang.
The group is eventually taken to a crocodile farm, where a deadly struggle for survival begins after the crocodiles are unleashed throughout the flooded property. As fear and chaos spread, the mystery surrounding the missing money deepens while the survivors fight to escape.
