Motorway in Kosovo ( Traffic Signs )

The Motorways in Kosovo (Albanian: Autoudhë; Serbian: Autoput) are the controlled-access highway system in the Kosovo, that are predominantly under the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The motorways are defined as roads with at least two lanes in each direction including an emergency lane and a speed limit of 130 kilometres per hour (81 mph).

The motorways in Kosovo are marked with a special road sign, similar to the road sign depicting a motorway in other countries of Europe. The markings has green background and are identified as consisting of letter R and the motorway number assigned by the legislation.

Kosovo is a signatory to the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals. Therefore, road signs do not differ much from the rest of Europe, such as Italy, San Marino, Montenegro and Albania. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy regulates them. Kosovo drives on the right as with the rest of Europe, except for Cyprus, Ireland, Malta and the United Kingdom. Although Kosovo is not a member of the European Union And is not in the United Nations, the road signs largely follow the general European conventions concerning the use of shape and colour to indicate their function
