The Liverpool Shipwreck & Humane Society is a lifesaving organisation based in Liverpool, England. It was founded in 1839 and gives honorary awards to people who voluntarily put their lives or safety at risk while saving or attempting to save other people who are in danger in cases of shipwreck, drowning, fire, and other hazards.
