Officer Coonley McCarthy it's a retired police officer from the Romanian police department. He had contributed to multiple cases, especially the ones that included missing people. He had retired on the 27th of September 2019 after he almost died in an accident from the county by the name of Vâlcea, where a coal mine excavator collapsed. He was severely injured and hospitalised for multiple days and even had his left leg amputated due to the severe wounds. He had retired from the police department due to his life threatening condition.

He was born on March 15th 1980. He was an immigrant from the US, who moved in Romania with his wife, Ariana McCarthy, after their life in the US had become dangerous. He moved in Romania in 2010 and in 2011 he entered in one of the Romanian police departments from the county by the name of Timiș.

 He had helped in multiple missing persons cases, kidnappings and disappearances, for example The Kidnapping of Alexandra Măceșanu and Luiza Melecu, which was one of his last cases before retiring.
