Ramayana: Part 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language epic fantasy film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Serving as the sequel to Ramayana: Part 1 (2026), it is the second installment in a two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian Sanskrit epic, the Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan.. Principal photography is scheduled to commence in August 2025, with a planned theatrical release in October 2027.

Plot
Ramayana: Part 2 is expected to cover the latter half of the epic, including the search for Sita in Lanka, the construction of the Rama Setu, the war between Rama's vanara army and Ravana's forces, the climactic battle between Rama and Ravana, Sita's Agni Pariksha, and the protagonists' return to Ayodhya.

Production
Development
The film was officially confirmed as a two-part project in April 2024, with back-to-back shooting schedules planned.[22]
Filming
Principal photography for Part 2 is set to begin in August 2025 in Mumbai, following Ranbir Kapoor's commitments to Love and War.International shoots in London are also under consideration.
Visual Effects
Oscar-winning studio DNEG was confirmed as the lead VFX partner in April 2024. The studio aims to create a "visually spectacular and immersive interpretation" of the epic, leveraging advanced technology for mythical creatures, divine realms, and large-scale battles.[23]
