Draft:Volcano Group

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello VolcanoGuy, I am interested in volcanoes that were present in Quebec during the archean era I am looking about the coordinates of the different calderas formed in that period. I found several calderas on Wikipedia: Selbaie, Gemini, Normetal, Noranda, Misema, Hunter Mine, New Senator... but I am not sure about The Selbaie Caldera coordinates because it is the northernmost of seven Archean calderas forming an alignment along the Ontario–Quebec border, all of which are within the Abitibi greenstone belt. (Selbaie Caldera's Wikipedia page extract) And looking at the coordinates indicated on the Selbaie Caldera page of Wikipedia (48.3N, 79.5W) it is located at the southernmost of all the other calderas. There is also the Selbaie Mine (closed now) that was located at coordinates 49.81N, 78.95W Should it be close to the Selbaie Caldera? or is it another Selbaie? Thank you
