Training ship State of Maine

The ship's official name is State of Maine. State of Maine V was chosen as a working name which is how I created the page. I propose to keep the url and change the title to State of Maine. Normyates20 (talk) 12:11, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

  • I have several concerns with this article, Normyates20:
    • 422 characters of this article, nearly a quarter, focus on the previous ship to carry this name. That includes some uncited information in the article body. I'd like to see more information about the current ship, and I'm seeing some unused sources out there: .
    • I know you're new—welcome! We're ideally looking for citations from sources that are independent with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. I'm not so sure on the reliability of this source, which has no staff listing and appears to primarily republish Reuters articles, and the article does not appear to fully support the information in the article (no mention of dignitaries).
    • Isn't the "The $330 million ship ... paragraph about the ship's design, not its history? Also, the information is not entirely backed up by the listed sources.
    • The hook is a run-on sentence. I might suggest shortening it to just the six words.
    • Article is new enough. Plagiarism spotcheck looks fine. Ed [talk] [OMT] 20:25, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
