I’m submitting this draft to document the history of Sun Bow Trading (1977–2018) and its 30-year collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I am a retired museum professional (Met Mezzanine Gallery, 1988–2018) and have co-authored research with the subject, so I've included a full COI disclosure on the Talk page.

I managed the Mezzanine Gallery shop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a portion of the 30-year collaboration with Sun Bow Trading. I wish to clarify that the collaboration was originally established by my predecessor; I oversaw and maintained the vendor relationship during my tenure.

I have co-authored three research volumes with the subject, Saul Barodofsky, between 2023 and 2025: Sun Bow Trading Company, Nazarlik, and Koran Bags.

This article is a retrospective historical record of a business that has been closed since 2018. It documents the gallery’s institutional collaborations and contributions to textile scholarship.
