Draft talk:Wahala Podcast

Disclosures

Hello Kamz01, I have a couple of quick questions for you. Another reviewer noted that they think you might have used AI to write the article. Can you address this concern?

I think it's much more likely that you're connected to the subject of the article because at the moment you're using a single purpose account. If you have some kind of conflict of interest would you mind disclosing that here? TipsyElephant (talk) 02:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

In regards to the use of AI, I did research on how to write on Wikipedia. I did research on Wikipedia, used AI’s for research purposes and tutorial videos which I believe shouldn’t be a problem. I used grammarly to polish up some writings (I don’t know if that’s a problem) but the article was written based off my research.
In regards to conflict of interest, I understand your concern because as you said my account is a single purpose account. I can truthfully say I’m in no way connected to this subject be it financially, personally or professionally. My account is a single purpose account for now because I’m still learning and trying my best to follow Wikipedia’s rule. I decided to start contributing on Wikipedia and chose the UK Podcast entertainment niche because I noticed Wikipedia didn’t really have that. I did this podcast in particular because that’s a topic that had media coverage I could use for sources. Be rest assured my account won’t be single purpose anymore as I wish to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Someone corrected the article which I’ve learnt. Waiting for feedback to know if I’m on right track before I continue contributing. Thank you. Kamz01 (talk) 13:17, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for your response Kamz01. I think the draft looks decent. My only remaining concern is that most of the sources are from Nigerian news sources (see WP:NEWSORGNIGERIA for details). Are you able to find any sources outside of Nigerian news sources? TipsyElephant (talk) 17:58, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
Of course. I’ll look for sources outside that. If I find them what do I do? Add to the article or leave the links here ? Kamz01 (talk) 19:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
Either is fine. TipsyElephant (talk) 23:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
The only additional press coverage I’ve found outside Nigerian media is GhPage which describes the podcast as one for African & black British

Other sources I’ve seen are mostly posts across social media. Not too sure if that’s all but that’s what I’ve been able to find so far. Kamz01 (talk) 14:15, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
And I’ve also updated the article. The sources say Uk-based podcast on Africa, diaspora & Bkack British not British podcast. Kamz01 (talk) 15:29, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
I am hesitant to accept the draft with the current sources. I'm not seeing bylines for most of the sources and the contents of the sources tends toward announcements that read like press releases or they heavily lean on interview content as opposed to in depth reviews of the show. I think I'd like to see how other reviewers feel. TipsyElephant (talk) 01:52, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
I understand your concerns. I did research on what’s not allowed on Wikipedia before writing the article, so I checked whether the articles could be considered press releases or sponsored content. The timeframes were different, and none were marked as sponsored or featured.
At the time of the articles, the podcast had only brought Nigerian guests (I believe), which may explain why most coverage is from Nigerian media. I saw one article that leaned towards an interview, but it still included original narrative and commentary, not just reproduced statements.
These are the reasons I decided to move forward. I could be wrong. Thank you for your feedback. Let’s see what others think. Kamz01 (talk) 02:17, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
