JPEGMafia originally began his music career under the stage name Devon Hendryx, releasing five studio albums, one mixtape, one extended play and one video album.[1][2][3]

He released his debut studio album Black Ben Carson in February 2016. A few months later, Hendricks released a collaborative extended play titled The 2nd Amendment with fellow rapper Freaky on his YouTube and Bandcamp page.[4] His second solo studio breakthrough album Veteran was released in January 2018 to widespread critical acclaim.[5][6] In September 2019, he released his third studio album All My Heroes Are Cornballs, to further acclaim.[7] It debuted at number 105 on the Billboard 200, becoming his first entry on the chart.[7] In 2023, he released his collaborative studio album Scaring the Hoes (2023) through AWAL. In 2024, he released his fifth studio album I Lay Down My Life for You (2024).[8][9] It debuted at number 102 on the Billboard 200
