East Belitung Regency

Regency in Bangka Belitung Islands, Indonesia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

East Belitung Regency (Kabupaten Belitung Timur) is a regency (kabupaten) of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Indonesia, encompassing the eastern half of Belitung Island. It was cut out on 25 February 2003 from Belitung Regency, which until then had covered the whole island. East Belitung Regency covers a land area of 2,506.91 km2 (including 141 offshore islands) and had a population of 106,463 at the 2010 Census[2] and 127,018 at the 2020 Census;[3] the official estimate as of mid 2025 was 133,443 (comprising 68,579 males and 64,864 females).[1] Its regency seat is the town of Manggar.
