On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 75% of 12 critics' reviews are positive.[6] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 63 out of 100, based on five critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.[7]

For Deadline, critic Pete Hammond writes that the script feels "plucked straight out of the 1970s, maybe even the '50s" but that the film is "richly entertaining."[1]
