List of presidents of FIFA

The president of FIFA serves as the chief executive of the governing body of world association football.^[1] There have been 9 presidents in FIFA's history. Jules Rimet is the longest-serving FIFA president, in office for 33 years from 1921 to 1954. Three presidents – Daniel Burley Woolfall, Rodolphe Seeldrayers, and Arthur Drewry – died during their term in office. Gianni Infantino has served as the current president since initial election on 26 February 2016 and reelection on 16 March 2023.^[2]^[3]

Following his impeachment, Blatter was given an eight-year exclusion from all football-related activities on 21 December 2015 (reduced to six years on 24 February 2016), which was renewed for six years on 24 March 2021.^[6]

Following the provisional exclusion on Sepp Blatter, Issa Hayatou assumed the Office of FIFA President on an interim basis in accordance with article 32(6) of the FIFA Statutes because Hayatou was the longest-serving vice-president on FIFA's Executive Committee.^[7]
