Notes
  1. The league was originally divided into two groups of 10 teams, representing the east and the west of the country.
  2. Fortuna were relegated to the then-Denmark Series (non-league) from the 1978 season, which is now the 4th tier. At the time it was the 2nd tier, however, as it is today it was non-league, as the league had one tier until 1993 when the 1st Division was established.[13]
  3. From the 1981 season onwards, the league was changed to a single division encompassing the 12 best teams from across the country.
  4. The season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
