Gethyllis barkerae is a perennial geophyte belonging to the genus Gethyllis.[1] The species is endemic to the Western Cape.[2]
The plant has two subspecies:
- Gethyllis barkerae subsp. barkerae
- Gethyllis barkerae subsp. paucifolia D.Müll.-Doblies[3]
