Jeff Horwitz

Jeff Horwitz is an investigative technology reporter for Thompson Reuters and a former reporter for The Wall Street Journal and other publications. A Pulitzer Prize recipient,[1] he was heavily involved in breaking the 2021 Facebook leak, and wrote the book Broken Code: Inside Facebook and the Fight to Expose Its Toxic Secrets.[2][3] Horwitz's book is the base of an upcoming feature film, The Social Reckoning, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin; Horwitz is portrayed in the film by Jeremy Allen White.[4]

Education
Horwitz went to The College Preparatory School and graduated in 1999.[5] In 2013, he was a Knight Bagehot fellow at Columbia University.[6][7]

Awards
In 2009, Horwitz won the Overseas Press Club (OPC) Foundation Fred Wiegold Scholarship.[10]
Horwitz won the George Polk Award for Business Reporting and the Gerald Loeb Award for Beat Reporting.
