Jože Rus (March 20, 1888 – March 25, 1945) was a Slovene geographer and historian.
Jože Rus was born in Ribnica, where he was baptized Jožef Rus.[1] His father was the merchant Janez (a.k.a. Ivan) Rus, and his mother was Ivana Rus (née Švigelj). Rus graduated from the University of Vienna in 1914 and also received his doctorate there in 1918.[2]
