Jordan Samuel

Jordan Samuel is a Canadian make-up artist.^[1][2] known for his work in film and television. He won a BAFTA, a Critics Choice and an Academy Award in the category Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the 2025 Guillermo del Toro film Frankenstein.^[3]

Jordan has worked across feature films, television, and special-effects makeup. His credits include Carrie, Pacific Rim, Total Recall, The Incredible Hulk, Hairspray, and Chicago. In a 2013 interview with The Credits, he discussed his work as makeup department head on Carrie, including the technical process behind recreating the film’s blood-drenched prom sequence.

In addition, he won a Primetime Emmy Award and was nominated for one more in the category Outstanding Makeup for his work on the television programs The Kennedys and The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.^[4]
