Simply initially focused on music education, building apps for piano[3] and recorder learners, and developed a world leading patented note-recognition engine called MusicSense,[4] which powers several of the company's musical apps[5] and supports acoustic instruments such as piano, guitar, and voice.[6]

In July 2022, JoyTunes rebranded as Simply[7] to better reflect this broader mission. Simply has since become the world's leading AI companion for creative hobbies, with millions of monthly downloads and learners in 180 countries across the globe.
