The Girl's Aunt (Spanish: La tía de las muchachas) is a 1938 Mexican comedy film directed by Juan Bustillo Oro and starring Enrique Herrera, Joaquín Pardavé and Gloria Marín.[1][2] It was shot at the Clasa Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director Carlos Toussaint. It has a cross-dressing theme similar to Charley's Aunt.[3] [4]

Synopsis

Upon learning that the woman he loves is being forced by her aunt into an arranged marriage with another man, her boyfriend devises a desperate plan. He decides to disguise himself as that very aunt, stepping into the role to disrupt the wedding arrangements and eliminate the rival suitor from the picture.
