As of June 26, 2026, a total of 39 people are scheduled to be executed in the United States.^[1] All of these executions are scheduled over four calendar years in six U.S. states.^[2] Additionally, there are 19 pending requests to set an execution date in seven U.S. states and by the U.S. military.^[a]
